Unit Description
In business, accounting and financial statements are the means for communicating the numbers. If an entrepreneur or owner or staff of the business doesn’t know how to read numbers in the financial statements, he/she can’t really know the financial condition and the result of the business’ financial operations. In this unit, students will acquire knowledge of the related accounting principles and develop the skills in preparing and analyzing financial statements. Specifically, they will learn the basic accounting process and the generally accepted accounting principles and standards that govern the recording, summarizing, reporting and analyzing and interpreting business reports.
