In an increasingly data-driven world, the importance of quantitative skills has never been greater This unit is intended to provide you with the mathematical skills required to successfully undertake Bachelor level university mathematics at WPU. In this unit, you will learn the importance of mathematics in the modern higher education and work environments and gain an understanding of core quantitative skills, allowing the confident application of basic mathematics.

In this unit students will learn how to use the internet for successful learning in the 21st century. LIDA is comprised of four micro-units including Digital Literacies for Online Learning, Digital Citizenship, Open Education, Copyright and Open Licensing in a Digital World and Critical Media Literacies in a Digital Age. The focus is on equipping students with essential skills required to effectively use digital resources and technologies for a wide range of contexts.
